My Community

My Community  is a worksite community  engagement program  that promotes and supports the formation of  partnerships  with  local  Non-Governmental  Organizations  (NGO) to  create  social good and at the same time produce long term success for the business – a shared value.

To create a comprehensive plan for community engagement, we recommend to use our 10 steps planning process.

OUR 10 STEPS PLANNING PROCESS

  1. Establish “My Community” committee
  2. Assess philanthropic interests of the employees
  3. Develop mission statement, goals, and objectives
  4. Develop community outreach action plan
  5. Create budget, schedule, and accountability for the action plan
  6. Select incentives
  7. Communicate the program
  8. Implement the program
  9. Evaluate the program
  10. Modify the program (continuous quality assurance).

By  choosing  social  issues  to  work  with  in  the  areas  of  strategic  importance  for  the  company operations,  we  make  advancing  social  conditions  a  part  of  the corporate  strategy.  This  way  the business  can  apply  its  considerable  resources,  expertise,  and  insights  to  activities  that  benefit society and advance corporate objectives.

Typically,  the  more  closely  tied  a  social  issue  is  to  the  company’s  business,  the  greater  the opportunity to leverage the firm’s resources and capabilities, and benefit society.

The  best  corporate  citizenship  initiatives  involve  far  more  than  writing  a  check:  They  specify clear, measurable goals and track results over time.

The following metrics will help to establish a baseline for community engagement initiatives and track the progress.
